For Greenwood this is a nice restaurant. Cresents are really good. Prime rib was a 3. It was cooked fine and tender. But it did not have much flavor. Cesar salad dressing was not great. Fried oreos were over cooked. Just not on point for me. There was a filet that was very good. Ranch fries are enough for several. Cheesy mashed potatoes are very good. House salad comes with some good ol' southern bacon grease. Service was good.
My first experience at the restaurant was April 15th 2025. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like I was part of the family. Everyone has a smile on their face and you could tell that they really enjoyed working there. Even other clients in the lobby we're having a good time. My waiter Chris was so sweet, caring. I told him I wanted the total experience from appetizer to dessert. Two people came over to ask me how everything was. One of them was the owner. Can't get much better treatment than that. I was there approximately 2 hours and I enjoyed every moment of it. When I left, the place was packed and you can tell that everyone else was enjoying themselves too. R Place will be my new favorite restaurant.
My absolute FAVORITE place to eat when I'm in town! The food is PERFECT and the staff is awesome! The cheese mashed potatoes & croissants are so addicting and they have the best house salad around! I usually get their salmon or chicken Alfredo but you can’t go wrong with anything you order! I’ve never had anything that I didn’t absolutely love! I will continue to eat here to support an amazing local business every time I come to visit family! (And crave it in the mean time lol)
Jared was a great server. Brought us the seafood cake appetizer. Great flavor, but the shrimp were a little over cooked, understanding in the cake... Also has the she crab soup. A little heavy on the sherry, but still palatable. Next he brought us the grilled chicken wrap and the Lorraine Quiche. Both were great, and the quiche was great flavor loaded with ingredients. Slight underbake on the underside of the crust on the quiche, but amazing flavor overall. The chicken in the wrap was great texture and portion size. Awesome quaint location to enjoy you lunch and watch the Masters!!
Classy setting in a older building, nice atmosphere, great food. We had the prime rib sandwich. French fries were perfect.
My wife, grandma, and I went for a late afternoon birthday lunch for my wife today. R Place is our favorite place to go for special occasions. Whether we have family coming to town, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, anniversary, this is our go to spot to treat ourselves. The Honey Butter Croissants are always the appetizer of choice for us. My wife loved her chicken Alfredo and my nana enjoyed her salad. I ordered the Prime Rib at the wrong temperature for my liking (totally my fault NOT staff in anyway) and our server, Brandon, took care of it quickly. He was an exceptional server who never let our drinks get empty, took the prime rib to be cooked longer with a helpful attitude, very professional, and attentive. Next time we go we will be requesting him as our server. I also really enjoyed the blackberry lemon drop cocktail. Absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, food amazing, and bartender very good. I don’t leave reviews often but the staff we interacted with today went above and beyond and I want the management and ownership to be aware of the great people on their team. Good job R Place.
